“Brave”n it Pizza style!
The girls and I went and saw the new Pixar movie “Brave” the other day. I’m not sure who was more excited about seeing it? Them or myself? I have to say, it did not disappoint at all. It was worth every cent!
After we got home, we were feeling very inspired. Since we had planned on making pizza anyway, we decided to make our very own “Merida” creations.

Chicken Pesto
I love this recipe. It is a perfect light summer dish and my family and my waist LOVE it! Very easy too! You will not believe how easy.
Here is what I did:
I started by cutting 2 squash, 2 zucchini, and 2 small onions in “half moon” shapes. I sauteed them in a couple of tablespoons of olive oil for about 35 minutes or until they are soft and tender. › Continue reading
Tutu wearin Alligators
Today, as I was cleaning my house, I could hear the irritating noise pleasant sound of my children playing at the top of their voices. As I started to tune them out and proceed with “my daily chores”, I felt a tug on my shirt.
I burst into laughter because of what I saw.
I instantly went back in time to my childhood where my brother’s two “loving” older sisters would “lovingly” dress him up in anything from our Easter crinolines to our princess crowns and play make up. (SORRY WAYNE!)

Shrimp and Grits
Father’s Day just passed and my #1 man, besides my daddy, asked me to fix him Shrimp and Grits. It’s one of his favorite dishes and the more I thought about it, I realized I have NEVER EVER fixed it!
