Christmas in July!
It has been hot here as of lately. I mean really HOT! However, I realize I am not telling you anything new that you haven’t discovered yourself.
If you live pretty much anywhere in the United States, it is probably unbearably hot right now.
SO!
I thought to myself…… “How can I make these Crazy Hot Dog Days of Summer Better?”
Then all of a sudden I heard a voice….. (*don’t worry, I’m not crazy)
However,
The voice said, “Then he puzzled and puzzled till his puzzler was sore. Then the grinch thought of something he hadn’t before!”
WAIT! THAT’S IT!
CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS IN JULY!
Then I heard Jingle Bells and White Christmas and Rockin Around the Christmas tree! (Ok, so maybe I’m a little Crazy.)
REGARDLESS! It was going to be Christmas at the Zimmerman’s that night!
First, we had to make cookies.
Aidan just had to do a heart even though I told him it wasn’t technically Christmas. ( I heart that boy!)
Are you getting hungry????
Now, for some odd reason, my oldest daughter says that her “dream” Christmas meal is a roast chicken on a bed of lettuce. Well, momma didn’t have lettuce, but she DID have spinach……
Em made some mistle toe.
Then Bing stopped by and the party really got started.
I love this man, but give him a reason to buy some presents and he will. This was not part of my plan for “Christmas in July”, but he is the biggest kid in the family.
So! This is what happens when you tell a grown kid man it’s Christmas!
This girl loves some Beef Jerky!
Little man got some candy.
And Em started dancing when she realized they got a kick ball.
She’s a dancin fool, this one!
Overall, I would say that our first “Christmas in July” celebration was a success!
So I find it only fitting to say…..
“Merry Christmas to all!….
And to all, a Goodnight!”
P.S. It’s still not too late to do your own “Christmas in July!”
Love,
ME
So cute and I love that Z got gifts!!! Now where did you get wrapping paper 🙂
Give that man an excuse to buy some presents for the kids and he will in a heart beat. It was left over Christmas paper from last year. ; )
Very cute! Great idea!
